Ships Energy Efficiency and Consumption Optimization ML Platform

The solution concerns the client’s ships energy efficiency and consumption optimization, using ML with the aim of making predictions for fuel reductions through adjustments to speed and route of a swarm of vessels.

The project includes the collection from various sensors aboard the ships of the client (47 vessels in total) and registration of the meteorological data onto a Microsoft SQL Server 2019 database that plays the role of Stage DB, data adaptation to clean structures that have been agreed, using Microsoft Master Tools and Microsoft Data Quality Service, data transfer through SQL Server Integration Service 2019 to a Power BI Service Data Model, and the creation of reports that present the measurements and KPIs that have been agreed upon. The Data Model has been built with the aim of making predictions for fuel reductions through adjustments to speed and route.
